    bluebills on the table...

    I shot a number of scaup (bluebills) this Fall. My wife and I found a recipe in a wonderful cookbook produced by Ducks Unlimited.
    It's called "Sauteed duck breasts in raspberry vinegar sauce". Delicious!

    Many underestimate the quality of divers as table fair I know I did till another hunter taught me how to deal with them

    mergansers I would say are hopeless lol

    Here's a nice selection of ducks taken earlier this season.
    All have been good eating!
    Alas, not many mallards were to be had...
