Had the dogs out for a solo hunt the other day. Buddi made some retrieves on birds I dropped and I was able to get Remi to heal while I sent the pup up to pic up a couple of the birds I had down. Not many birds flying but the ones that came around came right in and I managed to equal a best shot per bird ratio I did about 10 years ago! I shot my limit of 8 mallards with 10 shots!
There are some big mallards around now, Buddy Dave dropped this nice one sunday!
