bears....I use cheap tasco cams in areas I think are high hunter traffic...but a bear took down my best cam up on the mountain this year, 4 hour hike for major disappointment

the shipping on camboxlock.com is $20 flat rate per order...if you are ordering a few of them that's not too bad

Yes very reasonable shipping and they're pretty fast too. I live close to the border and sometimes I just get them shipped to Blaine and drive across the border to pick them up and most of the time I avoid paying duties. Even with a 78 cent dollar its still much cheaper even after the exchange rate to buy from Camlockbox.com - at least I haven't found anywhere in Canada that compares in price or variety of security boxes they have. To each their own.

And the reason I buy security boxes is because there are tons of bears in both areas I like to hunt and I've had at least one bear come and try to take a bite out of every single camera I have - every single year. Sometimes I put them up high and out of reach of bears, but sometimes that's not feasible. I also find the security boxes protect the cameras from the elements like rain, ice and snow - kind of like an insurance policy for your cameras

Have to get looked boxes: bears are trouble, but for me, elk are the PITA with cams. If I don't lag bolt the boxes to trees, the elk will eventually turn or change the angle of the camera. They like to rub, sniff, push and lick the cams. Boxes reduce that. Bears are self explanatory....

Checked out Camlockbox a few years ago and they could not compete with GPScity for Bushnell cam boxes (IIRC $20/box plus free shipping).
