So traveled today to Kamloops..first it was sept weather..dry warm no snow..however just south of Kamloops lake large machinery being towed ..into the ditch..12 minutes later another tractor trailer on the turns along Kamloops lake..both were speed related..downhill on dry roads..
Anyhow I had often seen bighorn sheep in the fields accross from the mushroom plant minutes out of Cache Creek en route to Kamloops..most I have ever seen was perhaps 30 last week..two times 2 days apart.
Well today was crazy..the sheep were now right beside the highway in the green field..but today there were in excess of 80 sheep !
The most I had ever seen..ever travelling that stretch of road for over 42 years...and these were very close. .
How close? Close enough to swear out loud at 4 of the rams..3 of them were obviously to and above the bridge of the nose..however
One dark chocolat brown tank bodied ram was amazing..certainly 3..4 iinches above the bridge of the nose and lots of mass carried along the entire length of horns..yelled so loud woke my snoozing wife upfrom her sleep.
In for rescheduled kidneys surgery in the morning..scared shytless" .....hmmmmmmmmmm
Will be on the lookout for the sheep en route home
Would be great opportunity for someone with good camera and some skills....
Cheers
Lol when they put me to sleep..i will be counting those sheep....
