Got a nice 4x4 whitie a couple days ago, right after the snow. He was running a doe with a fawn. I whistled, he stopped, bang flop. Fat as a pig too.

The only thing more exciting that hunting the rut is having all your tags cut and a full freezer. I still need a few geese, but you can’t hunt the goose rut...
We cut our leh doe draws in 3 minutes yesterday so meat in the freezer. Time to try and find something big!
Hey guys . I am out in 3-20 right now . Peter hope area. Found a spot of service ... deer activity has been very slow ,but maybe this has to do with the big full moons ??? Lots of snow on the ground but lots of tracks also ... I'm flying solo .. but this thread has encouraged me to stay another night . Thanks and good luck
Hey Cyrus . We are on the same page then! I saw a buck bail off the road as I was driving to a spot I had intended to walk.. if only had gotten out to walk a few minutes earlier haha. I think he was just a 3 pt... oh well I have tomorrow morning still ... I also saw a couple does on my evening hike .. perhaps things are starting to pick up . Hoping for a darker night tonight.
Am I the only one that's had his hunt ruined due to too much snow?
Lol. I don't know. A lot of people seem very excited here and I'm just worried about there being too much snow.
I have locked diffs front and rear in the Jeep and a foot of a half of snow still ain't easy when the hills get steep.
There is your problem right there "jeep" buy a landcruiser and never have that problem
Only an inch where I was. Saw a 3pt tonight with a group. Sat and watched and no deer porno.. Maybe some pre rut stuff going on. Will try again on Friday before the closure.
