Harrison Sob Story or hit the Coke?
Okay. Here goes with my sob story.
My oldest hunting buddy, the one who got me into Fall fever, recently (September) had knee surgery. Consequently he has not been able to make it out on any of my recent trips. Not that I had any success any how what with the warm weather, etc. Regardless, he texted me a few days ago and said he thinks he could be good for a day hunt. I had been thinking about heading up the Coke but given his recent surgery he's thinking something more like around Harrison. I've never really hunted blacktails though and so have no idea as to where. All I've read in here is that they like to be up high in nasty, thick stuff and prefer moving in really krappy weather. All of which makes me think they might also not be ideal given his present situation.
As I type this I realize he probably isn't really thinking about the odds of success but rather just about getting out of the house.
So, what are your thoughts as to where we would most likely have success?
