    Fraser Valley waterfowl areas

I've been waterfowl hunting for a few years.

For awhile now ive been looking into areas from Abbotsford to Hope but can't seem to find any good legal areas that aren't private property.

Is there any hunting clubs or does anybody have any tips on ways to get into waterfowl hunting in the valley?

Pitt Polder can be good but usually quite busy. Make sure you know the restrictions as it is only open Wednesdays and weekends, and there are some no shooting areas. A boat works best and a dog is almost a must to successfully retrieve birds. Take a peak at the special areas map, there are a few more public areas that are less pressured. Don't be afraid to knock on some doors too. While some responses can a quick no, you can get lucky and have a great hunting spot for years to come.

I've looked around Harrison a few times. Found a couple rough areas. Good to know that there is good spots though. I'll definetly have to get out and start knocking on doors.

Boundary bay has always been successful for me... LOTS of birds come throughout the season. Always a good time.

I've been out to Boundary Bay lots. Mainly looking for something further away from the city and closer to home in the valley.

Some good public land hunting on the Harrison river just take a boat and explore. Search out side channels and other marshy waters

mostly ducks but some ok goose hunting at times

The three water systems I mentioned are worth exploring just start scouting
