    You might need a better pack. If you plan on doing more backcountry hunts a good frame pack might be a good investment. One that puts most of the weight on your hips and not your shoulders.

    But good on ya for handling it like a man!!

    I do use a frame pack usually but for some reason or another i used my internal frame on that trip. Bad idea. Ive been using the Alps Outdoorz commander. Not really happy with it. Not enough adjustments to personalize it.
