Thinking of heading to Chetwynd area. Anyone taken any moose or elk there recently? Originally we were thinking of the Morris River area but after reading this forum we can see we need to look elsewhere. Appreciate your input.

Well we scouted the lower 7-21 area and found fresh evidence of elk but that's it. Was surprised that in our travels from Prince George to Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge and our off road ventures we saw no deer, no grouse, no moose. Is this common for these areas?

Went out Burbee and Pulp Mill rd area with my Dad for the last week of September. Got a spiked fork moose. Saw a cow elk, but couldn't get a shot. Saw lots of mule does. Shit tonnes of grouse.

Hunting moose and elk is better in the Kootenays for sure.
