    Rhyno and pg83 Sheep Hunt

In late August Rhyno and I embarked on the first Stone sheep hunt for either of us. I wrote a story for the Journal of Mountain Hunting, but we were both eager to get a link out for our HBC friends and members who may not be regular readers of that website. Grab a beer and give it a read when you have some time. I'd personally love any constructive feedback as I had a great time writing it.

Just read it - good job. Thanks for sharing. I think I like the rookie perspective more than the vets.

Well written story that made me feel like I was there...I remember my last stone hunt getting to the tent and collapsing in exhaustion. Sheep hunting is extremely hard work , but the memories last a lifetime. To this day it is my favourite type of hunting. I just love the country.

You guys persevered through long days of physical and emotional pain and got it done - on your first sheep hunt to boot. Congrats to you both!

Just finished reading your story. Great read and well documented. I hope in your next story you find your stone. Great efforts do get rewarded but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get your reward. Well done

Thanks for the well-written story. It was a great read and full of words of wisdom that a fellow rookie sheep hunter can take to heart.
