Sonnet: World's Most Advanced Off-Grid Mobile Mesh Network by Sonnet

What other hunters think about it? Anyone used one? Anyone run onto something similar?

There are a few similar items out there. The main issue with them is that if there isn't another unit near you you're screwed. I've used the SPOT communicator fora while but after some very poor customer service from them, I'm in the process of switching to the Garmin Inreach.

I could see this being useful if you left one in the truck connected to a device with internet access. Perhaps running a cell booster in the truck to ensure service. Then maybe take a few units along with you, dropping them every km or so.

But it would get pricey and require you to retrace your steps.

That thing looks pretty cool and probably worth getting one later when enough of them are out there. I've had the Inreach for a about three years now and still love it. Its gotten me out of a couple of jams primarily those required to inform the wife I wont be home as expected.
