Open high Country for hunting and hiking near Princeton with my dog?

    Hey All,

Kind of a different request, but still from a relative newbie.

I have been on a few muley road-hunts around Princeton last year that were successful, with some more experienced buddies.

What I'm looking for is an area that might make a good 2 or 3 day hiking trip with the potential of shooting an ELK or MULE DEER, somewhere around Princeton, that MOST IMPORTANTLY would make for a good hike for my high-energy dog.

I'm not asking for any honey holes, but more like high country meadows or open areas that I could explore with my trusty 1 year old Vizsla (high energy puppy that can run all day)

I'm based out of Vancouver, but know the Princeton back roads fairly well after 3 scouting trips, but not much too far from any of the roads.

Bonus points if I we won't be eaten by grizzlies in the night.

    thanks

You should have a nice hike, but don't dream of seeing any game with a "high energy" dog along.
