OK I wont share the name yet but here is the story. I ordered from a specialist 5 box's of colt.41 for my 110 year old antique colt thunderer. I am not a gun expert, far from any expert knowledge. I took the gun out to his shop last year, and he got mad at me for taking the gun out in his shop saying he doesnt need the gun...ok I actually felt embarrassed thinking i was wrong in bringing the gun out..
Anyways a month past and he called and said order is ready...paid the $575 and had my brother pick up becauses its an 1.5 hour drive from my house. I get the bullets and lock them in the safe. SO this sept I take them with the gun to the cabin, drive to a spot to shoot, take the bullets out and insert them in the chamber and they are 1mm too long...WTF. Call the guy, rude to me saying bring them out. I drive out yesterday and bring the gun and he says ya well each guns different, that he made standard .41's and says i need to buy new ones??? WTF, so i calmly say well this is your mistake and i watch this guy get angered from me saying its his problem, i say, you even told me that every guns off so why didnt you make sure they fit last year before making 250 rounds,,,nothing from him, then he says well it was well over a year ago so its too long (Have invoice and receipt) so i explain they were in the locker for all this time, then i say ok if it was one day after i discovered his mistake what would he have done, no answer other than this is not his problem.
Normally i would loose it and go over the counter on someone who is this rude and angry, but i keep calm, and ask him to see if its fixable. Then i thank him for looking into and ask, when can i expect this fixed, and he said i doubt ill fix and ill call you when i call you..... again rudest mother f'r gun guy ever but I am hoping he takes care of his mistake.
SO is this my fault? Should he be accountable?? Any feedback on what to do?
