I had work done by a 'revolver and lever action specialist' out in Mission, and the experience sounds similar. Awful awful awful. Rude, angry for literally no reason, expensive, and the work was done poorly and was left unfinished.
i since have heard other bad stories about the guys work and attitude.

Had a similar experience as Ryo when I had work done on my .41. The work was so bad in fact I brought it home and re did most of the work my self. It only cost me $500 to learn he ain't no smith.
A spot to shoot? with a restricted hand gun? A colt thunderer is a pistol is it not? Some how I visualize a gravel pit. Hopefully the spot was at an actual range? Wouldn't want to see your troubles compounded if it weren't a gun range and an enthusiastic officer read this thread. Perhaps he was pissed you brought the gun to his shop because he is not an actual licensed gun smith?
