Good morning all, just looking for some insite on a decent rangefinder that won't break the bank.

For archery or rifle or both?

A vintage analog rangefinder starts at about $10. It is great for learning to judge archery distances, and would work on a hunt in certain situations (stand hunting).

Vortex has a new budget rangefinder out, called the Impact 850. I don't know if anybody is stocking them yet, but they should go for 200-250

Same.. bought used and it works great.. I have ranged a building at 1078 meters.

I got a spare one I don't used anymore. Highly recommend you get something like my Leupold RX-1200i
It's worth saving for it, you put your load data in there and it will give you the true ballistic range. It's pretty good tool to have if you've ever considered longer shots ...or you'd get yourself in the position where you would consider it.
