    Glad to hear you were quick to react to the situation, and got through it safe and sound. My father had a huge boar griz get spooked by something earlier this season, and run by him at 10 meters! He said he had his gun on it the whole time, but could tell it wasn't focussed on him. I don't think I could have waited to be sure. Moving that fast, it wouldn't take long for it to be on you , should it notice your there. Sounds like the lucky ones get time for a shot, the unlucky ones don't, and I don't like the sound of that outcome

    Good it worked out well for you guys...and good shooting. Have had G's come in on me 3 times calling elk. Gotta be careful.

    The sow will be allowed to hibernate since, get this: she was defending her berries, this is her first aggressive act this year meaning she’s not a threat to people! I guess it’s three strikes –she’s out applies here.
