    New hunter in Squamish

I am new to hunting and recently moved to Squamish, I have all my license and for the majority the gear (from backpacking and winter camping) in order but would really appreciate some advice and information
on hunting, deer spotting and so on. I am not asking for any honey holes just would like to connect with people in the hunting community and pick up the odd tip and maybe a hunting buddy.
If anyone would be willing to take a new hunter along that would be amazing, just to observe and learn or participate.
Mostly interested in hunting animals for meat and not as a trophy.

Hey Wander - shoot me a PM. I'm Squamish based. I can give you the low down on hunting around here. I'm heading out on a five day alpine hunt tomorrow - but I'll be hunting local on weekends after that.

Sent you a PM, but since I'm still slightly new to Squamish and not a seasoned vet, I'll wager Mark is likely a better option.

I have lived here for 17 years, but never hunted this area - I always head up north. I wouldn't mind heading out sometime throughout the week over the next few weeks.

Look for big old trees on steep hills. Blacktail are a pain to hunt but they taste pretty dam good

Plan on a fall bear hunt here as well as weekend Blacktail hunts. Could always use an extra set of eyes.
