I've done the "tennis ball" method but used a rock instead, a little handier in the bush, we didnt bother with the compressed air and had no problem peeling right off.

Great buck. Should be delicious. That's a sweet deal having fields to hunt, makes it a lot easier for sure.

    Nice buck!

I wonder what that weird eye growth is! Stuff like that always freaks me out for some unknown reason.

Youtube the golf ball skinning trick. Pretty slick for sure! Thanks for posting up this story as there have been so few as of late. Looking forward to hearing of your moose adventures. Do you use the imgur process of posting pictures? Heading out for elk this weekend and have always liked to contribute to the site

The best part to me was all this took place within 17 minutes. Its cool how you can just sit down in the bush and after a while the critters come out.

I was shown a fist method that works awesome...instead of a normal fist put your thumb along side your pointer finger and move the pointer finger knuckle up to be even with your thumb tip...push and twist at the same time...it is amazing how much easier it is than skinning the whole thing with a knife...it works especially well at keeping the flank meat on the deer instead of on the hide

Known as Cutaneous Fibromas. Deer warts. Although unsightly, they are benign, harmless to us.
