    Story of Winston the bear

I found the story to be a very interesting read and a great example of how one could always run into a grizz in areas you'd be certain there aren't any.

Just thought others might find it interesting as well.

This provides a most exellent opportunity to examine a photo of a known bear, male, old, heavy..
So notice the ears, small on the side of the head..somewhat upright as the bear is trapped, tranquilizer x 5..and agitated ears are erect and forward..
There is a muscle crease on the forehead..muscles of chewing.
The nose is short big around squared/ angular.not long and slender..
Head is as wide as shoulders.
He obviously has a neck. .girls don't.
    Massive front end.
His paws the legs come straight down to the outside of the paws..not wrist, no taper.
Most grizzlies do Not COME with 5 tranquilizer darts in front shoulder..lol those are the real dangerous ones..lol.
See the eyes? No..they are small like a pigs..exellent photo of LARGE MALE, age, weight, sex is known.
3rd photo of bear facing camera,5 darts right shoulder.
    Cheers

    Very interesting story for sure.

Anyone else have serious questions about discharging a 30-30 cartridge in s 308 chamber?
    Is it even possible?

This quote "The landscape is enriched for me just by the knowledge of its wholeness if not by firsthand experience with every species" captures why the prescence of these animals, and all the other creatures big and small, make the bush the place I live to be. God forbid it ever becomes as empty and soulless as the forests of Europe.
