I have only seen blacktail genetics in Langley. Seen muleys in Abbotsford and WT around Chilliwack/Hope so you never know. Either way, that is a blacktail

Muley's start up the Canyon, the Fraser. As you drive up you will notice the country changing it's look.
Past Hope and going up to Ashcroft.
-- Muley country for me is Deadman and up.
    Blacktails in the Fraser Valley.
-- mules have bigger ears than whites or blacktail, hence the name mule deer.
-- blacktail are lots of fun to hunt also but for me mules rule. I like the semi-open country too that mules like.
-- Deer interbreed a bit too, so you get a Heinz 57 sometimes -- whad up?
-- Spences Bridge it starts to mix.
-- Ashcroft is another mule habitat topo change --
Jello Hello -- mule deer and blacktail and whitetail all bring joy to deer hunters in BC
