    Labour Day trail camera check

    Hello all, First point. Only traveled FSR that met the ban . . . Man it is dry out there! But there is still water sources for the critters luckily.

    Mixed results on the 12 camera deployment. One of my spypoints got no visible game triggers, but saw fresh sign in front of it so not sure about that camera yet. Another camera i screwed up and accidentally set it to video. When it triggered, it was a little too close to the trail to capture them moving through. It did grab a few dragon flies hovering while looking at the camera.

    Laughing at the bird and squirrel tail.

    Got a group of critters I'm not sure of their origins (please ID) maybe a wolverine on one? One really closeup to lens massive furred critter. Maybe a bear or Sasquatch? But it stayed just off camera and no other photos of it were captured.

    Good mix of prey and predators (wolves and cougars) it seems.

    Have two large 4 point WT that are missing from my cameras (I saw them earlier this spring). One 3 point and a 2 point WT are around. Lots of spotted fawns - 2 different sets of the. Kind of late for spots I thought. Captured a decent 4 point Mulie.

    Main goal was moose scouting. Camera picked up one female moose, but more exciting . . . Saw a nice LEH legal bull moose. Just got a fleeting view of him as he bolted from the roadside brush. So that's a good sign, just hope he stays near until Nov. 1st.

    Dropped another 3 cameras so will see how those do when I check again in a few weeks. Heard a weird really loud single "wood knock" we could not explain, but dropped a camera along the wide well used trail near where we heard it -- was weird. No other people were near.

    Cheers, VFX

    ==================
    Need some ID help. Think the upper left is a bear cub - but very small. Others maybe Wolverine(s)?

    A few "funny" ones - upper left is the "sasquatch". Love the bird one, it keeps visiting the camera.

    The mystery photos are of a Fox, IMO. Tail, posture and size/colouring are my main reasons for thinking that.

    I think you might be right with the wolverine. Definitely looks to have lighter patches running the length of the body.
