Does an animal genetics change as it gets older and it grows more points?

And than with regrowth of burns population should start to expand.
How does survival of a mature adult ungulate "grow" a population?

I talked to someone from Oregon.
They have a study going on somewhere in the state.
At times they were only allowed to hunt mature 6 pt bulls, and at other times the smaller/younger bulls.
Consensus seems to be that the herd did better when leaving the mature bulls alone, and targeting the younger bulls.
Don't remember the area where the study was happening?

Won't be long and more closures will happen. IE; the West Kootenay.
