    Wildfires in 5-13C

Does anyone know if there is any forest left in 5-13C? The wildfire maps show the fire centers but don't show the extent of the fires. They talk about the plateau fire being west of Nazko but that could be anywhere.

A lot of fires joined up up there so they now call it the plateau fire.

Lots of area is burnt out there. There are satellite maps that show it, but I don't how to find them, just heard people talking about it.

From what I have read that Plateau fire is around 400,000 hectares which is if I have the conversion correct about 1,000,000 acres

I've made a Google Earth .kml from the government shapefile (which covers the entire province). You should be able to download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wfqeveulkq...eters.KML?dl=0

Right click / properties on the "perimeters" file from the menu in GE when it opens up and mess around with the line weights and colours so it shows up better for you. Also change the "altitude" to "clamped to ground" so it doesn't disappear when you zoom in.

The vast majority of 5-13C has been burned.

edit: I did a rough polygon around the plateau fire only- it won't be as accurate (and it's just the outside perimeter) but might be a bit easier to use in GE. You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vt2x6e15j8...ateau.KML?dl=0

take a pencil, start at Fishpot lake and head south to Hwy 20, that is where the fire is, all of that, We are talking 130km from end to end on the Plateau Fire alone.

All the fires have area where critters and trees have survived. Who can judge what is enough? You
