    Tongue Recipes

I lost my recipe for fresh moose tongue. Does anyone have one they'd care to share?

Just simmered in beef broth for many many hours, then cool, peel off skin, slice and put in sandwiches

A heaping table of pickling spice, 6 peeled cloves of garlic, salt and pepper to taste...put in large pot and cover well with water, simmer for about 4 hours, peel and thin cross slice....makes great sandwich meat.

Cover with lots of water to last for 3 to 4 hrs simmering and throw in the spice flavors you enjoy most as well as a chopped onion, celery etc. Peel and throw some salt and pepper on em and injest your fav brew or wine and down the hatch, Ive pickled them after cooking but prefer this way or in sandwiches is good also
Their steaks, roasts and burger to me! Tom
