Well we are still standing. We got an inch and a half of rain Sat night and sunday. Lightening struck a number of times but only 1 fired up. It must have been a big spruce or the like because it had black smoke chimneying up from it and it just stopped. I think it burnt the dry stuff under the tree and worked out to the wet stuff and stopped. Friends still don't know if they lost their cabin on the north of Quesnell lake yet. When we finally got to Williams lake for grub, I walked out of wholesale foods with an 40 lb bag of flour and a 40 lb bag of sugar. At least I'll have sweet dough! When we unpack the bugout stuff this winter I wonder what I'll find. You would be surprised what you pack in a stressful situation, like a fire heading your way. Don't have a bugout bag, get one. Also talk in your household about what you would do in an emergency. A lot of people have no plan for any situation.
