To help I would insulate the floor. Concrete will suck the cold out of the room. I did my floor with rigid foam on the concrete then covered in painted plywood.
Nice work!
Real nice. What is the cooler compressor worth these days? I've got a 48' reefer trailer that I built a partition wall in for a cooler compartment and the rest is for cutting meat. I think my compressor was around $1200. I built brackets to hold my hanging rail. If I remember correctly the 1 1/2" x3/8" flat bar was pretty reasonable and is also fairly easy to bend corners into. Meat hooks were $25 a piece used. These sure help on the back lol.
If anyone in the peace country is looking for walk in cooler compressor I got one you can have. The only problem is that it is 230v 3 ph.
I would just level it so that all the water will run out the door - then no need for a drain.
Can I bring stuff over for cleaning, hanging, aging?
That's bitchin'
Nice job MA. Pls share the rest as progress continues, I have gathered the lumber, some insulation, A/C and I'm going to build one on the back side of my shed out back. I still need hooks, cool bot, roofing, door etc but hope to have it functional this fall.
Their steaks, roasts and burger to me! Tom
Looks like a nice unit there LuckyHorseshoe. A lot more mobile than mine. Very Handy.
Norwestalta, I'm not up to speed on the current unit pricing. Like I say, found a great deal on the cooling system for $100 which isn't common. Princess auto has 9inch stainless steel meat hooks for $8.50
The bar is 1 1/4" galvanized top rail of chain link fencing components.
Thanks for the positive feedback
Be careful with the princess auto hooks. They do break.
