If your used to a pump, the Supernova is a good gun.

I've got an 870, but my all time favourite was an old auto 5.
When in doubt, just pin it.

Older .....870 3" 12 gauge mag ....... To find an older production in good shape in this gun is worth its weight in GOLD.

2 - 870s over 40 years of shooting ducks pheasants, grouse and geese ....... Never one issue.

a true 870 Remington Wingmaster ....... Older production. Nice!

agree the older 870's are great. The new 870 express is junk.

I ended up with a Browning BPS. Am quite happy with it

Can't go wrong with a browning bps or benelli nova/supernova.

    Re: Need shotgun advice

I bought a Tristar Viper G2 Silver, best handling shotgun I own. Ive had a hard time finding a shotgun with a long enough length of pull as I have very long arms, I was dead set on a Franchi Affinity as it fit me best out of everything I held at the stores, until I got a hold of this very affordable Tristar. Did some research, heard nothing but good so I just went ahead and got it even though if the cheap price tag.. I fits me absolutely perfect, and seems to be built very well. All stainless and steel parts, no plastic, twin action bars.. very robust. Aluminum receiver and much better wood work then you'd expect for $650. Highly recommend, and a 5 year warranty. I have 1000+ rounds through it so far and it cylces any 2.75" and 3" you can possibly think of without a hitch. They also have a synthetic version, which I will probably be hunting down for the salt chuck.
