    wtb sleeping lighweight sleeping bag

Looking for a lightweight backpacking sleeping bag for my daughter, something -5 to 0 degree bag would work great. synthetic or down is fine. Adult size works fine. looking on line currently as well for deals. Were hiking Cathedral Park at the end of the month for 4 days. i have an LL Bean bag she could use but would like something that packs a bit smaller (LL Bean is older bag)

    TIA, Rob

    Rob,

have a look at the North Face Cats Meow. I use one into Oct on goat hunts. Not heavy, compresses down pretty small and they aren't expensive. I believe they are rated to -7

Bought an MEC Draco (-9) down bag and used it on a late April Alaska hwy trip. I wouldn't consider it a true -9*c bag, though in fairness, I never buttoned it up tight either. For $230 and less than 2 lbs, I have no regrets.
