Woody Box update #7

Had to go back out today as I was in a hurry the other night and forgot batteries for our cameras. Had 3 still working and grabbed the cards, also got great photos of a rare around here Sandhill that flew by and mallards with ducklings, and a flying Woody drake. Great morning!

Don't know what this hen is up to. Might be another hen laying in the same box and she's cleaning it out. Never heard of that though...:

Today we did a check of 60 boxes we also have out. All boat access so we only check them a couple times during nesting season.
Awesome day, can't remember exactly what the other guys numbers were but I believe around 21/60 had ducks and we saw Woodys by a few boxes that showed no sign yet. Great percentage of use by ducks and surprisingly low use by swallows so far.
Ill post pictures later but there were 2 Hooded Merganzer hens on eggs and we saw 2 pair of Sandhills and a very rare to see pair of Cinnamon Teal out there.
And lots of hens sitting on eggs pictures!
