Was in Cariboo mountains towards Mae ford lake, left at 2 pm home just now.
Stopped 200 yards short of Mae ford lake..by snow.
Seen dozens of deer..
8 black bears..could have shot any of them..biggest was 6 feet..all primo coats..lol all need food..
Very late spring..buds are just breaking out on willow..
Some grizzly sign..
Last week of May for grizzly up in that area anyway..green stopped at 19 km..
Great outing..
But again no photos...lol

I might have to venture further this year for a black bear. The 6 wolves that lived around here for 3 years cleaned out the black bears. Old trappers say they take them right out of the dens. The trappers took 5 of the 6 wolves last winter so maybe they will increase in numbers again.
The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
The worst day slinging lead is still better than the best day working.
Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because that’s the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"

I'll be out the week after may long... father may even pull the trigger on one this year! May long gotta head to kamloops for a baseball tournament. Then spend the rest of the week hunting and fishing. May head out that way... most likely head a different direction that we've been doing well the last couple of years.
