For those who want to read up on cruciate disease in dogs; Veterinary Partner has a couple of good articles on the disease and the various options:

    https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Co...S=0&C=0&A=1975
    https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Co...S=0&C=0&A=3547

In my clinic I offer a number of different procedures; generally the TTA and TPLO is better suited for large dogs (>45 lbs) than the extra capsular repairs. Faster return to function and, at least in my experience, better and more consistent outcomes.

Thank you for the exceptional articles.unfortinatley all my labs, even coming from different kennels have had this issue.
If I go the $$$ route there is nothing left if her other leg goes out.my last lab Morgan had left one go..fixed..6 months later her right one went.. $4,000 total...6 months later she had to be put down because of face cancer..
Unfortunately finances do play a part in these decisions..and we are keeping the option open if her other knee fails.
    Thank you again.

    Ugh!

Sounds like you don't have pet insurance?

Would this not of helped financially?

On a personal note, YOU know full well, that a person in REAL pain, will not become dependent on a morphine drip...

Hope your BF recovers well, along with yourself! #oldkneessuck

More like another, Rain Coast Sociopath Fraud. Living off the prevails of his chronic lies, like the rest of them...

It's an issue, because these sociopath environmentalist's, will dilute the facts.
To the point you or Joe public, won't know them any more..
They count on that big time..

    Hahaha!

I am glad she's on the road to recovery and also that she enjoys her cheeses, while loaded like a freight train. All the best for your Doggo!

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery for your furry family member.
Cody: It's a pretty cool sidearm you got there. What is it?
Four Leaf Tayback: I don't know what it's called. I just know the sound it makes when it takes a man's life.

Frank, I never thought I'd say this again. I'm getting the pig!
Frank, we gotta get rid of this broad. I know a great place up the road. Lots of alligators.

Marvin: If there's one thing I know, it's women and covert operations.
    Frank: Marvin, that's two things.
Han Cho Bai: No, grasshopper. It is not.
