9mm Browning single action semi auto pistol.

The familiar Browning High Power, made the last year of WW2, with the military marking, MK1, on the barrel, with circle behind the "1."
Does this "MK1," mean it was in the Canadian army?
Its in really good condition, so what, about, would be its approximate value?

The Mk. 1 was a military issue and some had a notch in the backstrap for a butt stock which also doubled as a holster.
Browning Hi-Powers were standard issue sidearms in many armies including Canada and Britain, even wartime Germany.
I have been looking for a good one for years, someday it will turn up.
