I want to do MU 3-28 next in dee tale from Kamloops to Skull mountain and show every honey hole we can by K's and road names. MU 3-28 next in detail out to Skull Mountain the home of the big mule buck and wintering/breeding grounds to pound. Next Yah --

1. We are starting from the area of the Barside Lounge and Grill @ chances casino north shore Kammy you saw in the previous posts on this thread. Use this as a place of center out.
--------- Mu 3-28 is a marvelous MU and we will pick it apart so the newbie and some who hunted but have not connected yet will have a good chance to score, and hunters looking for trophy mule buck heads can find them in this MU 3-28. Trophy mule bucks in this MU 3-28 we will be there.
--------- That will be Next mu 3-28 hunters of the mule and moose and grouse in the gorgeous South-Central Interior of B.C. Kamloops Country, the best mule hunting in the world folks.
Jelvis --> look at your map of Westsyde road right from the start, the casino on the North shore of Kammy. Now follow the Westsyde road out north to Skull Mtn and see off roads going west like Black Pines rd and (Dairy Creek rd for instance), check on your map, see where and how high Dairy road goes and the off shoots.to get familiar and it will reward your hunt. Dairy road leads to great hunting.

Heffley Creek -- Louis Creek MU 3-27

A road up Heffley Creek runs in and past Heffley Lake, with turnoffs to Knouff Lake. Another road runs into the hills behind McClure, ( check map for McClure) on Hwy 5, connecting with this road system. Beyond Heffley Lake a road left runs out to Louis Creek, thee home of the original Mule Deer Zeke from Looey Creek and side roads to explore as soon as you step out of the pick up door to explore with mule deer wandering around. Moose once abundant now down to LEH.
H of an area coming up from Looey Crick with big buck Dick. This guy hit Badger Lake and Lil Badger like a zombie and saw many bucks and does, even saw a whitetail or two flittin around.

1. what kinda of mule am i after -- any legal one I can, or hang on til I see a bigger mature 4 point or so and get a chance to shoot a sure shot. BOOM! Time of the season makes a difference.
2. how am I going to enter MU 3-28 after leaving from casino to get to Skull Mt? Either up Westsyde road the west side of the North Thompson River or drive up to just barely past Barriere on Hwy 5, cross the bridge over the North Thompson. If you choose to drive up hwy 5 to get to Skull now your in 3-27 as you drive up hwy 5 the Yellowhead. and then turn left (west) on the Westsyde road where it comes out on the Yellowhead hwy 5, by Barriere check map -- The North Thompson river splits the mu's -- this is yours and mine options and we will weigh them out as we go. Skull and Goo Dro r in Mu 3-28
3. keep up to date here
4. look at MU 3-28 mu boundaries
5. Look @ Topo maps and study the north end by Skull and Goudreau mountains with your map to get a birds eye view of this mule deer haven especially in the rut and fall and new snow in dah hillz and where the Westsyde road comes out to Hwy 5.
I'm going slow and methodical for now, to get this right for 2018 muley season in MU 3-28

Jel -- I have, you have about a few months b4 the season so read and plan accordingly with good anticipation I mean yah can cut it with a Nigh Hife -- mu 3-28 trophy mule buck or any legal mule?

Sounds like there are huge muley behind every secend three,,,,it is not so...esp.sabiston creeck...red lake area has seen extencive logging,,landscape chance a lot,,,,20years ago was looot more deer about that area than to day..jello is talking about history..but sounds good anyways,,,maybe hunter from lower mainl.will be there behind every secend three next fall........ I,m not gonnabe there..know better

I want to tell you and say about Skull area, some roads have been let go of maintaining and have ended and faded, some, closed to motorized vehicles, the Ministry has relevant notices on a tree or lil sign. This area is burnt over too so some evidence of sign have been destroyed.
--- Anyone hunting Goo Dro ( Goudreau Mt ) we will call it Gooo Droh and Skull will be Skull Mt, so obey the BC Hunting regs and you will be fine.
--- This thread (is to help you with any doubts about hunting MU 3-28 and having a challenge at the same time. So stick within all the rules and regs and get that venison and maybe a good rack at the same time. You want to do things right and enjoy this incredible special mule area for thee muley hunt of a lifetime for the entire trip, the planning firstly, like your starting to do now for 2018 in MU 3-28. Attention:--> Note (Fishtrap Creek) on your topo map and follow where it (crosses Westsyde road) and follow, " where the creek comes down from." to get an idea of migration for mules to follow down. Fishtrap Creek runs down touching Skull mt on the south end as you see.
Fishtrap Creek is where fish were trapped by the locals years ago.
----- This is your next looky loo at your map and then we go from there next.
