Meh....leave them alone. Time to do rod days and limit the amount of guides. The harassment of sturgeon 12 months a year is a joke. Anyone else remember when it was sort of an unwritten rule you wouldn't target sturge from nov to freshet?

Obviously it's from the summer.
The somewhat remote location of that fish means only a couple of guides and fisherman fish in that area.
Hope to Vancouver is a different story, same fish getting pincusioned day in and day out....

Um Actually that fish has be recorded being caught 9 times now thru the tagging program, those fish are just as pinned as the rest, maybe do some researchOriginally Posted by tubby

Thomas, you being a sturgeon guide for quite some time now. Do you feel that there should be some new rules around the sturgeon fishery now that you have that much pressure on these fish?
When you can jump from guide boat to guide boat in the fall and most of the sturgeons mouths look like they have had a whole punch taken to them. Guess it's a hard question for you to properly answer as it provides money for your family...
