    HiHium lake

I'v never been to the lake, but some buddies and I are thinking about this coming June. It looks looks a fairly large lake and I know the reputation is a good one for chironomids, damsels, mays and sedge. I don't know much about the camping facilities (we aren't resort type fishermen). Only car toppers and and 9.9s. Are we on the right track, or should we be looking elsewhere. PMs are fine, if you prefer.

There is a forestry camp ground on the east end of the lake. should be good fishing in june. A buddy of mine has a cabin up there, he does well fishing it. lots of shoals around, even in the middle of the lake. Just watch what everbody else is doing.

We were camped by the picnic table in the middle of the first picture in August when it was really hot in the lower mainland. We had a good few days. Caught some fish up to 16 inches. It was quite windy then so no mosquitos.

Love the lake. Used to fish there many years back. Alway came home with some nice onces. Higher lake, cooler water better fighting fish. June should be excellent. Have fun.

Be careful when the wind picks up 'cause it can be nasty.

Was there a few years ago, camping is pretty good, fishing was ok, fish weren't locked on to anything specific.
definitely worth your time, if you have a trailer it's a long pull in!
