    Re: 125 grain bolt

    G'day Hunter47,

I had a look on the web and I was only able to find the weight for the 2219's, they are 13.79 grains per inch so they should have a bare shaft weight of 275.8 grains, I would think that the 2117's are around 10% to 20% less. I am not sure how you got 125 grains could it be you read in grams instead of grains?

Please don't think that I am having a go at you mate I just want to make sure that you are using the right gear as it will shoot better and be a lot safer.

Either way I would think that the arrows you are currently using are fine.

    Cheers Noel

Nice bolt flinger Wayne. Those shafts are fine for your setup. The field point is a 125 grain head. If your Montecs are the same weight you're good to go. Good luck with it. Hope an elk falls quick from it.
