    I inadvertently called in a huge black bear with my cow elk chirp call. My 1st and last time to hunt in Kootenays with a bow. That beast came full tilt, frothing at the mouth and lil red eyes darting around looking for his elk. Sold bow and happy to hunt with rifle..lol.

    Saw eight more today, one rubbed worse than i have ever seen, onebig boar about 10' from the truck window with just epic battle scars, buch of super cute cubs the size of house cats.

    I am debating on whether or not to head out this weekend. Haven't really seen much in the way of Region 2 bears dropping.

    Last weekend it looked like some grass was getting hit but no poops... saw some dandelion lettuce starting to show. I wonder how much has changed this week.

    Hmmm... maybe I will be the one of the first to knock one down. I'll be solo so if I dump one in the evening I'll be scared as _____ lol

    My other fear is getting a tick stuck in me somewhere I can't see or reach

    What's a caddisguy to do?!

    Nothing on your cams either?

    Heading up to my spot past Squamish next weekend to at least, set up cams...

    This week ahead looks like consistent, decent temps, hopefully help things along considerably...
