now that perhaps I have a slight chance of posting a picture I will give this a go.. I had a chance for a day out bymyself so looking like a great hunting morning I made my way east of fsj closer to the alberta border.. prospects looked good animals should be on the move.[URLs297.photobucket.com/user/northernbc/media/IMG_0120.jpg.html][/URL] I had headed into the fringes there and spent a morning sitting and slowly scoping out the area.. around noonish I stopped for a bite to eat and some coffee, kinda felt sleepy and it was nice and warm..i figured id better move or fall asleep so off I went I figured I would go a few miles away and work my way back to the truck hunting into the wind. as i moved thru the bush I stopped dead still there was 3 does kinda moving quick and doing the look behind thing.. I prepared to fire and froze in position, it took about 5 minutes ,but sure enough a buck following ,great shot was presented and the .243 fired. He completely disappeared,shot felt good but not a sign of him. I waited still for a few minutes and thought well noyhing moving at all go and have a look. as I approached I could see that h dropped in his tracks , man he looked good to me, I was very happy and spent a few moments before getting him dressed. great day for me, it is my best whitetail to date.[URLs297.photobucket.com/user/northernbc/media/IMG_4535_3.jpg.html]
