I have seen some posts online about people getting a letter in the mail about their LEH getting canceled. HAs anyone received one, and does anybody know which zones have been effected?

I received a letter. Areas 4-21, 4-22, 4-23A and B, 4-24 are all closed for grizz. There is a spring grizzly thread that has a copy of the letter posted.

Sorry for all of you who were keeping your fingers crossed, only to find out that your area leh has been canceled.

I just checked on the bc limited entry Government site. The number of permits issued for spring last year for my current leh application - 5-15 d were 24. I see that the number of permits is reduced for this spring to 14, Similarly, areas 7-23 have reduced permits for this year by up to 70% compared to last year, from 32 permits to 9 permits. I assume the Guide outfitters will not see any reduction?

of course they will.
Maybe compare the numbers over a few years as some zones saw an increase in gbear quotas to deal with the caribou issue and may have met the goal and being returned to normal levels
