The only thing I like as much as trucks, is guns.
Small sog hawk fits lightly in the back of my belt it's light enough for me. Having said that im 6'11" and over 300lbs so maybe not for everyone. Sometimes I put the light and other stuff in a bag depends on the hike. If I'm in clear cuts I'm usually sitting and waiting. If hiking trails it's mostly in my bag.
Knife, lighter, shit tickets, license, wallet and maybe my phone

X3 - I can't wear a pack with anything around my waist, this year I even bought a cloth belt to reduce the waist belt interference. My pockets are more or less empty - maybe a lighter and maybe a small folding pocket knife that's used for lunch 99% of the time lol. Everything is in the pack - frequent use items in the top, one-offs (kill kit / survival gear) in the bottom. Clothing and lunch in the middle.
My pack is usually packed for the day I'm planning. If I'm breaking the day in two (early hunt and back to the truck for lunch, re-located and then PM hunt) my pack reflects that. If I'm going all day - and back to the truck in the dark - my pack is heavier. Over night is a whole other thread.
In my pockets I'll have a couple lighters, a good small flashlight, my license, maybe my phone for photo ops and my wallet, everything else is in my pack , what kind of pants do you guys where to be able to carry your utility kits, I don't have any pants that'd carry as much gear as some of you guys have.
Tin of Skoal straight and my lucky charm. Can't even wear my Leatherman as my pack waist strap would rub, everything else is in the pack.
This is what is always carried on my person,
license & tags
wallet & truck keys
small folding knife
fixed blade knife
gps
compass
lens cleaners
Bic lighter I stash them everywhere pocket, pack etc and mountain money.
It depends on how far I plan on walking and if I'm taking my pack or not. A little walk from the cabin after dinner, I'll have my knife, headlamp and some marking tape. The longer the walk the more I carry. I never leave the three things I mentioned.
R.I.P BiG Boar
Few bic lighters, 4 extra rounds, a small knife, binos, electrical tape.
