What do you ALWAYS carry on you? Not in a pack etc

Thread title says it....while you're out hunting, what's always on you (in your pockets, on your belt, etc)?

Thought came to me as a result of the "bad shot" thread and not having a knife except in the pack.

    For me:

    1. Larger "survival" knife (Gerber BG Ultimate Pro with a couple of feet of FireCord wrapped around the sheath) on my belt

    2. Leatherman Wave on my belt

    3. Havalon Piranta in my leg pocket (assuming I'm wearing cargos)

    4. DeLorme Inreach on my belt

    5. Usually a small but high lumens Cree based waterproof flashlight on my belt or sometimes in a pocket

    6. Extra magazine

    7. One single bullet for whatever rifle I'm carrying

    8. Tags and license and PAL

    9. Light Merino wool toque and neck gaiter and light gloves (assuming weather requires such)

    10. Small USB power bank / battery pack and corresponding charging cable for DeLorme and phone

    11. iPhone and waterproof or battery case

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I also have but yet to use a leg holster in which to carry bear spray.

No matter what, I don't leave the cabin, truck, atv, or go hiking without a flint and knife. If u have those two items you can survive (with the proper practise). Plus a flint doesn't matter how soaking wet it is, it will always light. It's a little barbaric but when I go out hunting, those two items i won't even thinking about not leaving behind. Head lamps, water proof bla bla I can make an acception to leave behind, but a flint and knife, I will def turn around and make sure I got it. And I always carry two of each. Axes, paracord, water proof bags, etc are always nice, but a bare bone survival and safely net is simply a good sharp knife and a flint.

Creature comforts are nice, but if we are talking the must go to can't live without can't hunting without those would be mine.....

but a stupid side note not to sound cheesy, the best thing I can take into my "pack" is my knowledge and history. Even to this day after decades of hunting, I'll randomly find an hr or two and make a shelter or practise making fire in all kinds of terrible Mother Nature conditions. It's easy to make a fire in sunny summer weather, -30 snow 3 foot deep with a wind much different.

Re: What do you ALWAYS carry on you? Not in a pack etc

    bullets
    knives, fixed blade and piranta
    lifestraw
    phone
storm proof matches and flint stone combo for backup
    para cord
a few large garbage bags one is orange
then my pack gets the creature comforts ,a small cook stove and one canister of fuel, a couple mountain house and high energy grub for snacks along the way.
if my kids are along their packs are a lighter version of mine, and I get the extra for them.

Small folding knife, Lighter/bounce sheets in a small ziplock, headlamp.
The only advantage to a light rifle is it's weight, all other advantages go to the heavier rifle..
