and since this is for the new hunter reading up before his testing. and this talk on schedule "c"..the one on that list you do need a basic hunting licence for is the newly added feral pigs, havent looked, but id assume it says that in them.

I always found it weird that buckshot needs plugging but slugs don't.
Bonz the idea that laws are permission as opposed to prohibition is certainly wrong. Licenses are the exemption to doing something otherwise illegal. Some idea you've expresed here are plenty wrong as for what the rest of us should do/how a system supposedly based on the Rule of Law functions; however, if your personal sense of ethics tells you that's the case it then certainly is correct for you!
The idea that laws are permission not prohibition is disturbing. None the less, very common and an idea promoted by authorites in socialist police state nations with apartheid systems such as this one.
Also wrong is folks studying for CORE or what have you via a Hunting forum. Read the synopsis and the actual legislation behind that. Ask MFLNROD/BCCOS for clarification on an issue or just do what you want and back your play in a court of law if needs be. It's fun to have a chat but forums are for entertainment, not legal advice.
Many regulatory violations are akin to a traffic ticket as per the amount fines are and the process. This knowledge comes from study on the matter. I have not been accused of violations of the Wildlife Act/Hunting Regulations in BC nor in any other jurisdiction.

I'd like to know where limiting a magazine originated from.
There is a limit on how many animals you can take, why limit how fast you can take them?
I'm betting its from the rich guys, with some pull, back in the day with their fancy side by sides that got out shot by average Joes with pumps and magazine fed guns. The beginning of political correctness, limiting everyone to the lowest common denominator, cause someones feeling got hurt.
If anyone knows the real answer, I'd love to hear it!
