    Jan. 18 Fowling Clovergulch

Well it took me all season less two days to finally get out with a good friend Duck Hunting today. Ducks close Friday here.
the dam freeze up certainly screwed up our December hunt plans but is nice at least get out now. Too much water around actually, lots of places for the birds to go right now. Started late afternoon and should have had our limit but ended a few shy. That's ok. Mostly Mallards, a few biggies, bright bright orange feet, big body's. A few, Widgeon, Pins stayed away. Maybe tomorrow's hunt. Hope to go at ER again, heck maybe even Friday, the last day.

    Have at it Fowlers

Yet another great day in the Gulch.
wow, tons of birds flying, buddy and I limited with no issue, mostly Mals, and Widge. See some nice Drake pins aloft but none have cared to venture in range haha. Sure wish our freeze up didn't last so long. Missed a lot of birdin. Alas, tomorrow is the last kick at the can for Ducks locally till fall season. Thanks Buddy, you know who you are, what a great bird dogger you are, good dog, haha oh and and and, what a shooter ! Get out there folks ...... Who else is hunting close to Clovergulch .......
