Bear was strapped up in a kifaru nomad with a grab it and longhunter lid, buck was in a reckoning with the same lid...both were on a gen 2 duplex frame and road like a dream.

My setup in the pic is a Mystery Ranch Metcalf /w guide light frame. It was the biggest load it's seen yet, full camp and a boned out buck.
Thankfully I ate my last meal before putting that pack on so no food weight.
The pack handled it like a champ. As for me every step was a careful one with some weight on the poles to reduce stress on the knees going down.
Every now and then I'd bend over 90 degrees and rest my chest on the poles for 30 seconds or so which gave a needed break to the legs and back.
I felt that one for several days after but seemed to be just sore muscles, muscles that don't get used like that often.
