My son is going to start hunting next year when he turns 10. If he gets a hunters number after completing his core is his license going to cost him $7 or $32 if he wants his own tags?

It should only cost $7 but some retailers will want to charge you more. It matters not that he will have his core it's the age that get him the discount. He's a youth till 17

If he is getting his own licence with his own tags he pays full price. Ran into that this year with my son at Service bc and had to pay full price.

all depends who tags, his own and own licence, he pays like any other person with a hunter number of their own.
buy a youth licence to run on your tags is the cheep one. not realy to do with age. more to do with hunter number/licence required.

Ok, Thanks for the replies! I do think its lame a youth would have to pay full price though! A youth fishing license is free...

a youth dont need a fishing licence till 16 though. totaly different

Its not totally different. For a Tidal license the youth license is free (you have to have one in possession) and you have to buy a salmon stamp if you want to keep a salmon etc. Youth should get a break! Seems like a tax grab.

it is to me. you cant even get a licence till 16 with fishing. they pay same for the stamp as anyone else does to
but thats the same as hunting?
