I soon realized I was hours and kms into the deep.I starTed to high tail it to camp and the wind gust where so cold I was loosing feeling in my feet and daylight.
I contemplated staying in the valley bottom to get out of the wind but being solo I decided to skyline for vantage point.

As I rushed down the ridge busting my trail through blueberry I a came to a vantage point I saw a cow and calf and said to myself no matter what I am not shooting..I am to cold wet and deep.

20 yard later I saw him a big bull just feeding away unaware of me..

I set my pack down for a rest and took a look.
my scope was so messed up I couldn't see anything but with the naked eye at 300 yds I could count points no problem...I then remembered the wife had bought me a scope cleaning kit and it was in my pack.

I doug it out and cleaned my scope when I restyled the bull was drifting in and out of site in the fog..I calmly chambered a round and waited to see him..when he repaired well rested and calm I set the trigger and touched off..

The bull react and did a twenty yard circle as I rechambered I my scope refoggef.
