    Day-Trips are fun but tiring and nothing come close to spending the night in the woods.
    The places you mentioned hold some meat for sure.
    You just have to know where to look.

    Im new as well. I have been learning in the chihalis area myself
    First year hunting 2016. Trips scouting/hunting 35. km driven 4500km. moose count 2 (our group got). grouse count 5

    Experience gained and ready to be used for 2017...priceless.

    2017 Results
    Trips out scouting 4 (2100km)
    trips hunting 1 (4200km)
    1 bison
    4 rabbits
    16 grouse

    well if your ever in the falkland area i could take you out I'm new two but have got 1 moose 2 bucks this will be our 4th year lots of FSR around but would be better to camp out a few days to get to know the land first

    I can't count the amount of times I've slept in my truck, or under a camp ground table just so I'd be the first guy in that area at first light! And when your going out for just one day, make sure you've got a couple real good lights, and a head lamp too, it's dam near impossible to gut a deer or moose in the pitch dark. Also, if you've got someone waiting for you at home, tell them if you are real late it could be cuz your 3 miles from the truck, and arm pit deep inside a moose's dead body! And above all, Have Fun out there!
