Common sense and manners must not be hand in hand the guy asked for help and you took a shot at him just so you could make a stink as a local. Idgaf where your from thats just rude buds.

Nope, were more the fact that the first post were asking for a spot to hunt elk a half hour from town.

As a landowner, I'd at least like the guy knocking on my door to say hello before he asks to hunt my place. No different on hbc. At least have enough manners to say hello before asking for help.
Just my $0.02 though, might be different down on the lower mainland what passes for manners....

A couple big old burns to start with......good as any other place up here.

Best thing is get the maps and start scouting. That's how I started.

I have yet to hunt private land, there is so much crown up here, you just have to burn some gas, some boot leather and "put in your time"

I fully understand where Kodiak is coming from, have friends who have land, they are either drove nuts by people asking or by people who don't ask.......best is to scout and if you see animals, work out the owner and then go ask. Just driving around asking will get you very little......

    Cheers
