I stand corrected, thought he meant their wheeled Recruit: http://www.barnettcrossbows.com/recruit

Regardless, it is still an Entry Level bow, more suited to target practice than real life hunting IMHO.

Don't have to take my word for it though.

Not questioning your word at all Nog. I've read your stuff before and its good.

I think if his wife's thinking like me and doesn't stay in the game, the most you would stand to lose on a $300 package is maybe 100 bucks.
No great loss, in fact it could be considered a rental at that.
Then you could still move up.

But buy a $1000 Bow and right off the bat you'd lose $300 and tax at least.

Thats the only angle I was approaching from.

Got what you're saying. No Worries.

I guess that I'm of the mind that if I decide to "get into" something, start off by doing it Right.
Obviously others' thoughts may differ, and perhaps for them what you suggest is the right way to go for them.

I'd still go for the best bloody crossbow I could afford though...

I bought her the crossbow she asked for. Broadheads, target, cocking aid.

She loves it, scored a rabbit already.

Had a pass-through on another bunny. Can I put an aluminum bolt in the dishwasher?

After four small game Schedule C kills, one of the bolts doesn't shoot straight anymore. Is there a way to fix it, or is it now only good for uncocking the crossbow?

Is the fletching still okay? Bolt might not be straight anymore too.
