    @steveo,
    The pup is a DD and will be a DD but if your DD is not tested in the Breedtests you can not breed him as a DD,your dogs pups will not get the german Ahnentafel(pedigree papers).

    ... and pay attention to Hotload ... another good dog man whom I've been trying to follow in his size 15 footsteps!
    Pics are of my now 5 yr old DD Gunnar ... like Hot Rod's panzer tank of a DD (Carlo), my boy is a machine. If you do go the DD route, you better put the time in (they deserve it) ... and then strap in, it'll be one hell of a fun ride!
    PM me if you want more info ...

    That last photo,wow, I can still picture the Utah Mtns. in the background of the arduous day of VJP testing our Drahthaars. 2 Canadians on foreign ground wondering what we had got ourselves into. Gunnar did fantastic and has turned into great pal for you and a wonderful looking dog.

    Yup I credit him with getting me interested in hunting and the outdoors, when I was a wee kid and he was a young man training to be a game warden he would take me out with him counting tad poles and frogs and catching field mice for some kind of study and also when I was even younger when all the guys were going out rabbit hunting with beagles and didn't want to take me because I was too young he would take me.
    I really looked up to him and still do.
